The Shipley School's 40th Annual Secret Gardens tour is on Wednesday May 14th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. This year the carefully selected private gardens are on the Main Line - the actual locations are revealed on the day. This little community garden is also trying to improve the outdoor space at one of Philadelphia's local elementary schools so its good to support them.

Temple-Ambler is having another plant sale Thursday May 8th from 1-3pm at the campus greenhouse. They have a fair amount of herbs, vegetables, lots of shrubs, lots of fruit trees and berry plants, a few ornamental/shade trees, and some annuals and perennials - they had a plant sale Saturday 3rd and this is the remaining inventory.

A not-to-be-missed annual event, this is one of the largest public garden plant sales in the area. Offered will be plants ideally suited for area gardens, including rhododendrons, azaleas, and companion plants not readily available elsewhere. Thousands of native perennials, wildflowers, ferns, and slow-growing conifers, as well as donated plants from Society members’ gardens will be for sale.
We offer great prices, terrific plant selections AND your gardening questions will be answered by our knowledgeable horticultural staff and expert gardeners.
Jenkins Arboretum & Gardens members may pick up their complimentary “thank you” plants during the sale.
